Terms of service
The agreement between you and us. Written to be read rather than skipped.
Version 1.1 · Last updated 6 September 2026
Who these terms are with
ChatPPC is provided by The Barkworth & Hathaway Group Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 11255288, at 25 West Street, Storrington, United Kingdom, RH20 4DZ. By using ChatPPC you agree to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to do so.
What ChatPPC does
ChatPPC connects to the Amazon selling and advertising accounts you authorise, calculates the contribution margin and break-even advertising cost of your products, proposes advertising changes measured against those figures, and helps you improve your listing copy. It operates as a connector inside an AI assistant subscription that you hold separately.
ChatPPC requires your own paid Claude subscription. That subscription is between you and Anthropic. We do not provide it, and we are not affiliated with Anthropic.
You approve every change, and you own the outcome
ChatPPC does not make changes to your advertising or your listings on its own. Every change is proposed to you, described in full, and applied only when you confirm it. That two-step protocol is the record of your decision.
You are responsible for the changes you approve and for their commercial results. Our recommendations are calculated from the data available to us, including the cost figures you supply. If those figures are wrong, the recommendations will be wrong. Advertising outcomes depend on competitors, seasonality, Amazon’s own systems and factors none of us controls. We do not guarantee any level of sales, profit, ranking or advertising performance.
What ChatPPC will not do
- It will never change your selling prices. This is enforced in the software and is not a configurable setting.
- When it edits a listing it changes only the copy — the title, bullet points, description and backend keywords. It will not touch price, quantity or any other listing attribute.
- It will not archive campaigns, keywords or targets, because archiving is irreversible on Amazon’s side.
- It will not act on any Amazon account you have not explicitly authorised.
- It will not ask for your Amazon password. Authorisation is through Login with Amazon only.
Your Amazon account and Amazon's terms
You must have the right to authorise access to the Amazon accounts you connect. Your use of ChatPPC must remain compliant with Amazon’s terms of service, its advertising policies and its API terms. If Amazon restricts or withdraws your access, or ours, in a way that prevents the service operating, we may suspend or terminate your account.
Subscription, trial and payment
- The standard rate is £99 per month, or £990 per year, in each case plus VAT.
- A founding rate of £49 per month plus VAT is available to the first twenty accounts. That price is held for the account’s first twelve months and then moves to the standard rate. You will be told this at signup and reminded before it changes.
- A 14-day free trial is available, with no card required to start.
- Prices exclude VAT, which is added at checkout at the applicable rate.
There is no minimum term, no notice period and no tie-in on any plan. The twelve months attached to the founding rate is a price guarantee, not a commitment: it fixes what you pay, and does not oblige you to stay.
Cancelling, and refunds
You can cancel at any time. A monthly subscription runs to the end of the period you have paid for and is not renewed. We do not pro-rate part-months.
If you cancel an annual subscription within 14 days of paying, we will refund it in full. After that, an annual subscription runs to the end of its term and is not refunded, unless the law requires otherwise or we have failed to provide the service.
You can export your data before or after cancelling, and can ask us to delete it entirely.
Availability
We do not offer a service level agreement or an uptime guarantee at this stage, and we would rather say so than publish a figure we cannot stand behind. We will make reasonable efforts to keep the service available, and to give notice of planned maintenance where we can. The service also depends on Amazon and on your AI assistant provider, whose availability is outside our control.
Suspension
We may suspend or terminate your access if you:
- breach these terms or Amazon’s terms;
- use the service in a way that risks ChatPPC’s access to Amazon’s APIs, including attempting to evade Amazon’s rate limits or its policies;
- attempt to access another customer’s data, or to probe or disrupt the service;
- fail to pay.
Where circumstances allow, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right.
Your data and ours
Your data remains yours. That includes the cost information you supply, which we treat as confidential and never disclose to, or aggregate with, another customer’s. We process personal data as described in our privacy policy.
Where we process personal data on your behalf, our Data Processing Agreement applies and forms part of these terms. It applies automatically — you do not need to sign it or ask us for it. Where it and these terms disagree about the handling of personal data, it wins.
The software, its interface and its documentation remain ours. Your subscription grants you the right to use the service, not to copy, resell or reverse-engineer it.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Subject to that, our total liability to you for all claims arising in connection with the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for lost profits, lost sales, lost data, loss of goodwill, or indirect or consequential loss.
The service is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that its recommendations will produce any particular result.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Where a change materially affects you we will give at least 30 days’ notice by email, and you may cancel before it takes effect if you do not accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer rather than a business, this does not deprive you of the protection of the law of the country where you live.
